Fire Training

We have designed the customized In House Safety Training as per the factory Act 1948 section 111 (A) approved by Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health, Government of Gujarat

This course is intended to give factory, office or site staff etc, a basic understanding of the use and limitations of portable fire-fighting equipment, and includes practical training on live fires.

Who for?

Staff who have access to extinguishers in their workplace.

Aim of the Course

To provide employees with the information to be able to assess and extinguish small fires.

Objectives: –

  • At the end of the course attendees will be able to:-
  • Identify how fires start and spread.
  • State the classes of fire.
  • Identify and be able to use the correct fire extinguisher.
  • Understand the limitations of an extinguisher.

Venue : Training will be on site.

Duration of Course : 01 day maximum

Number of delegates : As per client Requirement

SYLLABUS:-

  • Theory of combustion and fire triangle/tetrahedron
  • Fire classification: Classes A, B, C, D fires
  • First aid fire fighting equipment: Types, use and limitations
  • Practical Fire Extinguisher Use
  • Use of portable extinguishers on class A, B & C fires
  • Fires involving electrical equipment
  • Action in case of fire, evacuation
  • Use of fire fighting equipment do’s and don’ts of fire fighting, and limitations of portable fire fighting equipment

Requirements:

A room with a mains power socket, projector, and sufficient seating for trainees. It will also be useful if theroom can be darkened.

An outside area suitable for using fire extinguishers on several small fires without causing annoyance to neighbours

Aim of the course:

To give fire marshals / fire wardens a more advanced insight into the dangers of fire, and the limitations and use of first aid fire-fighting equipment.

Objectives:

Delegates should, after completing the course, be able to:

  • Perform the duties of a fire marshal/warden
  • Understand the importance of fire safety at work
  • Identify the classes of fire
  • Recognize and use first aid fire-fighting equipment safely

Venue : Training will be on site.

Course Duration : 1 day

Syllabus

  • Understanding fire & fire survival
  • The mechanism of fire, how fire kills, and how to protect against it.
  • Human behavior in fire
  • Illustrates how people behave in fire, and how fire marshals can overcome them.
  • Fire routines
  • The role of the fire warden / fire marshal
  • Classes of fire & fire extinguishing media
  • Action in case of fire, evacuation
  • Practical fire fighting
  • Use of portable extinguishers on class A, B & C fires
  • Simulation of fires involving electricity
  • Chip pan fire demonstration

Requirements:

  1. A room with sufficient comfortable seating, Projector, writing board and a mains power socket for display equipment. It will help if the room can be darkened slightly to enhance projector luminance.

An outside area suitable for using fire extinguishers on several small fires without causing annoyance to neighbours.

Aim of the Course

To provide employees with an awareness of fire precautions and the threat posed by fire and their responsibility in preventing an outbreak of fire.

Objectives

By the end of the course attendees will be able to:-

  • Identify how fires start and spread.
  • Identify the fire hazards in their workplace/area and how best to reduce them.
  • Identify and be able to use the correct fire extinguisher.
  • Understand the need for Means of Escape, Emergency Lighting, Fire Procedures Good Housekeeping and Fire Awareness.
  • Record keeping in log book appropriate to a legal requirement.

Venue : Training will be on site.

Duration of Course : Half day (Times flexible to your requirements).

SYLLABUS

  • Emphasis on teamwork and good communications
  • Action in case of fire, evacuation
  • Practical Fire-fighting exercises
  • Practical use of fire fighting equipment.
  • Real fire exercises enabling team members to put into practice firefighting theory and team skills.

Who for?

Staff who are responsible for persons in all working environments including residential homes and Hospitals.

Aim of the Course

  • This course is designed to raise fire awareness concerning the behavior of people in a fire and the threat that fire poses to people and the continuity of your business.
  • The course will help support an essential part of your legal responsibilities and provide specific training for management and staff of nursing and residential care homes. It will equip staff with the necessary practical skills to take the correct actions in the event of a fire with regard to evacuation procedures and the selection and correct use of fire extinguishers appropriate to your workplace risks.
  • The course will be designed to meet your specific circumstances and requirements

Objectives

By the end of the course attendees will be able to:-

  • Have an understanding of the nature and behavior of fire
  • Common causes of fire and how fire spreads.
  • Understand and be able to carry out their duties in the event of a fire including your company evacuation procedures.
  • Assisting residents in an emergency
  • Distinguish between the different types of extinguishers and the types of fire that they can be used on.
  • Fire prevention
  • Company fire action plans

Venue : Training will be on site.

Duration of Course : The course duration is 4 hours. If required in addition to the above, practical fire training can be carried out a fire training which enables the delegates to actually use fire extinguishers on a real fire.

Who for?

Responsibility for complying with the order rests with the “Responsible or Competent person”. In a workplace, this is the employer and any other person who may have control of any part of the premises, e.g. the occupier or owner. In all other premises the person or people in control of the premises will be responsible.

Aim of the Course

  • Fire Auditing is a necessary tool to ensure that you are meeting the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (fire safety) Order; it also ensures that you and your employees are aware of the procedures that need to be taken to ensure their safety in the event of a fire.

Who for?

Staff who are in charge of H&S, shift managers, fire wardens etc who’s task it is to assess the workplace/area they are in charge of, and who maintain the fire safety standards in their workplace/area.

Aim of the Course

To provide employees with an awareness of fire precautions and the threat posed by fire, their responsibility in preventing an outbreak of fire and the knowledge to carry out a risk assessment in their workplace/area.

Objectives

By the end of the course attendees will be able to:-

  • Understand Fire Regulations and Legislation relating to their workplace/area.
  • Identify how fires start and spread.
  • Understand the principles of a fire risk assessment.
  • Identify the fire hazards in their workplace/area and how best to reduce them.
  • Identify and be able to use the correct fire extinguisher.
  • Safely and confidently carry out a risk assessment in a workplace.
  • Understand the need for Means of Escape, Emergency Lighting, Fire Procedures, Good Housekeeping and Fire Awareness.
  • Record items in, and maintain a log book appropriate to a legal requirement and to the Fire Risk Assessment.

Venue : Training will be on site, to enable a practical assessment to be carried out.

Duration of Course : One day
